New from Crab Miniatures: Doomed Battalions — Trench Crusade Miniatures UK

We've been sitting on this one for a while. Crab Miniatures' Doomed Battalions range is now live on the site, and it fills a gap we've wanted to address in our Trench Crusade miniatures UK catalogue since the game started picking up momentum. Two sets, two distinct factions, both designed from the ground up for the game rather than adapted from an unrelated range.

If you've not played Trench Crusade yet, our introduction to the game covers the essentials. The brief version: it's a grimdark WW1-horror skirmish wargame set in an alternate history where the gates of hell opened in the trenches. The aesthetic is dark and specific, which means miniature choice matters considerably more than in a setting with a broader visual range. These hold up.

About Crab Miniatures and the Doomed Battalions Range

Crab Miniatures are a dark fantasy and grimdark studio on MyMiniFactory. Their work sits at the heavier end of the grimdark spectrum: corrupted religious iconography, infantry that look like they've been through something, sculpt detail that photographs well and paints well. The Doomed Battalions range was built specifically for Trench Crusade. The proportions and design language reflect that clearly, and these are noticeably different from generic fantasy undead adapted for compatibility.

We print everything to order in-house in resin at our UK workshop. You receive a cleaned and support-removed model ready to prime, with no assembly complications.

Wraith Pilgrims: Undead Infantry for Trench Crusade

The Wraith Pilgrims set is spectral undead infantry with three distinct unit types: rank-and-file Wraith Pilgrims, Wraith Slaves as fast expendable units for board control and harassment, and Wraith Heroes for command and character roles. Enough variation that you're not painting twelve identical poses. The Full Set brings all 17 figures together at a price that undercuts buying units separately by a meaningful margin. Candles of Heresy: Demonic Cult Infantry

The Candles of Heresy set takes a very different approach. Where Wraith Pilgrims is spectral undead, this is demonic cult territory: Wereghouls for melee threat, Wardens as mid-tier infantry, Flying Slaves for mobility and board coverage. The Flying Slaves are worth noting in particular if your warband needs fast-moving units that can reach across the table without depending on cover. The Full Set is 14 figures, with individual units available if you're supplementing an existing warband rather than starting fresh.

Trench Crusade Miniatures UK: Where Doomed Battalions Fits In

Both sets are designed to work as self-contained warband cores. Wraith Pilgrims suits undead or spectral factions; Candles of Heresy suits demonic or heretical forces. Either Full Set gives you enough figures to field a legal starting warband, with individual units available to expand from there as the game develops.
