New from Bite the Bullet x Ashen Armies: Three Trench Crusade Warbands in the Store

Three new Trench Crusade warbands from Bite the Bullet’s Ashen Armies co-brand have just landed in the TabletopXtra catalogue: the Gilded Dominion, Hellbound Apostasy, and Bleeding Procession, plus the Profane Sacrament characters. All in stock now, printed in UK resin.

Bite the Bullet, the Spanish sculpting duo behind Ashen Armies, have been releasing dedicated Trench Crusade content faction by faction. This drop brings three distinct warbands in one release, covering completely different visual territory: the Gilded Dominion draws on Ottoman military history, the Hellbound Apostasy brings chaos-inflected heresy, and the Bleeding Procession builds around devotional cultist aesthetics. There’s no overlap in feel between any of them.

The Gilded Dominion

The Gilded Dominion is the most visually unusual of the three. Infantry sculpted around Ottoman military archetypes, rendered in Ashen Armies’ grimdark finish. Think janissaries and azebs repurposed for the alternate WWI nightmare of Trench Crusade, with the kind of period detail that makes them interesting to paint and visually distinct next to any European-styled force already in a collection.

The Janissaries (£19.99, four head options) are the backbone: multipart kits with enough variety to build a unit where no two models look the same. The Azebs (£19.99, mask or gas mask variants) provide ranged support, and the Yuzbasi (£6.99, four pose variants) is your officer model, available in four distinct stances.

Two Assassin sculpts round out the range, male and female (each £6.49), both detailed enough to work as standalone display pieces. For players who want a warband that looks unlike anything else already on the table, the Gilded Dominion is the pick of this release.

Hellbound Apostasy

Where the Gilded Dominion is disciplined and historical in its references, the Hellbound Apostasy is not. A heretic warband sculpted with heavy grimdark detail that rewards close-up painting.

Basic infantry start with the Heretic Troopers (£9.99) and the Wretched Shotgun gunners (£9.99). The Anointed Melee kit (£18.99) builds two multipart models with varied heads and weapons, useful for getting character into the rank and file without repeating poses. The Assault Beast (£16.99, three sculpts: A, B, and C) is the large-base option, the sort of piece that earns a place on a display shelf as much as a gaming table. The Goety Warlock (£15.99, three variants) is your centrepiece character, and the Ordnance Witch covers artillery support from £6.99 per model.

Between these kits, the Hellbound Apostasy covers basic troops, melee specialists, a large threat, a command piece, and heavy fire support, without any obvious gaps in the range.

Bleeding Procession and Profane Sacrament

The Bleeding Procession takes the cultist angle, with a tighter kit list focused on function. The Ammunition Monk (£9.99) is the core infantry. The Communicator (£15.99, two variants) handles command and coordination, and the Anti-Tank Hunter (£12.99) provides armoured-target capability as the warband grows.

The standout kit in the range is the Anchor Shrine (£16.99). Four weapon configurations (wheel, cannon, autocannon, and rifle) in a single kit is good value at this price, particularly if you want to adapt the warband’s fire support without buying multiples.

Also releasing alongside these is the Profane Sacrament. The Lord of Tumours (£16.99, axe and bell variants) is a large-scale character that works across multiple grimdark settings, the sort of model that gets painted regardless of which army it ends up supporting. The Thralls (£16.99) round out the pairing.
