Snow White is the gouache to reach for when a model needs a genuine dusting rather than a solid coat — its fine, powdery finish sits on the surface like real frost or fresh snow instead of flattening detail underneath. Being water-based, it can be thinned right down for a light dusting or built up in passes for deeper drifts, and it stays workable while wet if you want to soften an edge.

• Frost rims on stonework and glazing
• Winter dioramas and base texture

Less is more with this one — stipple it on with a dry-ish brush and build gradually, since snow effects live or die on restraint.
