AK Interactive Gouaches Dark Earth 20ml. (AKG05)

AK Interactive's Dark Earth gouache is the workhorse tone for grounding a model in real dirt — a deep, slightly warm brown that reads as freshly turned soil rather than dust. Being a water-based gouache rather than a pigment or enamel wash, it stays wet and mobile on the surface for longer, so you can feather it, streak it or wipe it back before it sets.

Best for

• Muddy lower hulls, tracks and running gear
• Soil and dirt buildup on bases
• Streaking and staining over washes and pigments

Work it thin and build in passes — gouache rewards patience, and a couple of light coats will always look more convincing than one heavy one.
