Germany's earliest panzers didn't wear the greys and dunkelgelbs you know from later in the war — they wore this. AK Interactive's German Army Pre-WWII Colors set covers the tricolour camouflage scheme worn by German armour from April 1933 through to July 1937, a scheme that lingered on plenty of kit well beyond that date and saw action with the Condor Legion in the Spanish Civil War, Panzer I included. If you're building the earliest days of German armoured warfare, this is the palette that gets it right without hours spent mixing and guessing.

What's in the box

  • Three AK 3rd Generation acrylic colours, matched to the 1933–37 tricolour scheme
  • 17ml dropper bottles
  • Matt, self-levelling acrylic formula with strong coverage
  • Thins with water or AK's own acrylic thinner for brush or airbrush use

Best for

  • Pre-war and early-war German army vehicles
  • Spanish Civil War armour, including the Panzer I
  • Anyone modelling the transition period before the more familiar grey/dunkelgelb schemes took over

It's a niche corner of the AK range, but if this is the era you model, it's the difference between guessing at a colour match and knowing you've got it right straight from the bottle.

Matched, boxed and ready to paint. Browse the full AK 3rd Gen acrylics range for more historical schemes, or head over to our AK weathering range to age the finish once it's dry.
